              The Notable People collection is an artificial collection created to assemble and provide access to materials documenting individuals associated with the university. The materials were originally maintained by University Marketing and Communications and were transferred to the archives in 2013. Files are established and maintained for persons of institutional, regional, or subject significance, and materials are added on an ongoing basis as they are identified or acquired.

              The collection consists of discrete folders arranged by individual name. Contents vary by file and may include photographs, newspaper clippings, news releases, biographical sketches, printed articles, and other reference materials compiled from a range of sources. The collection serves as a reference resource and does not necessarily represent a comprehensive or original body of records for any individual.
