South Dakota Humanities CouncilThis collection is composed of departmental records generated by the English Department such as newsletters, pamphlets, and promotional material for events and conferences. Also included are the Pioneer Women Papers which consist of original investigations of women writers in the region completed by students for the course "Women Writers of the Great Plains," taught during 1978-1979 school year. Material is composed of publications produced by the English Department. Material includes newsletters, pamphlets, and posters.
The pioneer women files were completed as original investigations of women writers in the region for the course: "Women Writers of the Great Plains," taught in 1978-1979 under a special grant from the Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education of the Modern Language Association for a project: "Teaching Women's Literature from a Regional Perspective." The course was taught by Dr. Ruth Alexander, Professor of English and supervised by Dr. Leonore Hoffman of the Modern Language Association office. The series consists of papers written by students of this course, a press release, and news clippings. The papers include notes by the instructor and a final grade. Also included in the papers are some pamphlets and photographs.
South Dakota State University. Department of EnglishThe Sokota Hybrid Producers, Inc. records are composed mainly of Board of Directors minutes from its incorporation in 1944 to its dissolution in 1986. Most of the minutes include an agenda and the minutes. Some may include newsletters, correspondence, and reports. The collection also includes articles of incorporation, by-laws, purchase agreement, financial material, and trademark information.
The financial material is composed of corn payments, revolving fund certificates, grower and producer ledger sheets, and other certificates related to the financial portion of Sokota.
Also included are newspapers clippings on the history of Sokota, South Dakota codified laws in relation to cooperatives, and a photocopy of the first check written.
Sokota Hybrid ProducersThis collection is composed of local and national records of the South Dakota Paint Horse Club. Folders include newsletters, programs, futurity reports, show records, auction records, meeting minutes, directories, newspaper articles, correspondence, financial statements, memorandums, and tapes.
South Dakota Paint Horse ClubThis collection is composed of various flyers, pamphlets and newsletters produced by Student Health and Counseling Services. Some of the items included are a health service handbook, a newsletter, flyers for the Wellness Fair, information on insurance, and a pamphlet titled F.A.S.T.C.A.R.E. which stands for First Aid and Sensible Tips for Coping with Alcohol-Related Emergencies.
