R. F. Pettigrew
Sioux Falls, S. D..
Sioux Falls, South DakotaNovember 30, 1915.
H. L. Loucks,
Watertown, S. D.My Dear Friend:-
I received your letter and read it with much interest. Of course it is impossible for me to take the leadership in this matter. In the first place I have no inclination to do so, and my financial affairs are in such shape that it would be impossible for me to expend any sum of money at all to carry out any new enterprise. I hope that my affairs will get in shape so I can pay a reasonable contribution for I am anxious to help along the agitation.
I shall be at Sioux Falls until after Christmas and then a business matter may take me to New York for the rest of the winter.
Truly yours,
R. F. Pettigrew
