      My Dear Friend:-

It is impossible for me to put any money into any newspaper enterprise at present. I hope to be able to do it this fall.

I do not seem to progress very rapidly with the script people. However, I am keeping at it and hope for results.

I have not time to answer your last letter in full, as I am going out to the state of Washington tomorrow where my boys are, and shall be gone about ten days.

      Yours truly,

      R. F. Pettigrew
