This collection consists of correspondence, writings, maps, field notebooks, and research projects conducted by Dr. Carter Johnson during his academic career. A large number of photographs, slides, and digital images of Johnson's research, and include various plants and trees growing in various locations throughout the United States, primarily the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Badlands National park in western South Dakota, Itasca State Park in Minnesota, and North Dakota.
